Traditional Paçoquita is now available in a creamy version

Santa Helena is betting on the Brazilian culture and versatility of its new product

Paçoquita, the most traditional peanut treat in Brazil, which is very well-known by Brazilians, is now available in a new creamy format. The product will be available in stores starting on July 1st.

Santa Helena, the leader in the peanut-based candy and sweets segment in Brazil, is betting on a new version to win over new customers and make fans of the famous peanut treat even more loyal. In addition to maintaining the characteristics of the original product, Paçoquita Sweet Peanut Butter has been given characteristics that will make it a part of every Brazilian's breakfast. The product – which is available in a 180g package – offers health and energy benefits to the entire family, with a good quantity of protein and vitamin E, which are naturally present in peanuts.

Full of Brazilian culture and beloved by consumers, Paçoquita Sweet Peanut Butter is different from the peanut pastes produced outside of the country. "The idea was to create a creamy version of Paçoquita, which is so beloved by Brazilians, faithfully reproducing its distinctive and delicious flavor. It has the specific characteristics of the original product, with pieces of peanut, and is extremely soft and easy to spread," explains Luciana Persoli, Santa Helena's marketing manager.

Paçoquita Sweet Peanut Butter can be used in a variety of ways: pure, with bread, cookies, fruit and even as a recipe ingredient in cakes and sweets. Because of its amazing texture and flavor, there are many ways to eat it and combine it with other ingredients. Breakfast and snacks for children at school or at home are some of the options.

The new product comes with the goal of being more and more present in the daily routines of Brazilians, offering an alternative to creams and pastes such as butters and sweet jams. "The creamy version is a unique peanut product, to be incorporated into breakfast, a meal greatly valued by Brazilians. This way, families can continue interacting with the brand at home," adds Luciana.

The Fan Page (facebook.com/pacoquita) and hotsite (www.pacoquita.com.br) will have exclusive content and tips on the product.

New segments

The launch is part of the company's strategy to act in different sectors and be increasingly present in the lives of Brazilians. Concerned with the well-being and health of Brazilians, Santa Helena recently launched Paçoquita Zero with Oatmeal. With no sugar in its recipe, it is recommended by doctors and nutritionists for being a source of fiber that helps the body perform various activities. It will be sold in packages with 4 or 24 units.

In the same segment, the new Santa Helena Zero line is also sugar-free. There are four options of items developed with highly nutritional raw materials: Peanut brittle, peanut candy, coconut candy and coconut candy with peanuts, which are available in packages with 3 or 24 units.

Another important novelty is the new First whole grain peanut paste, made for fitness enthusiasts who want to boost their energy before or after working out. Specially developed to help replace energy and meet the needs of the supplements industry, it contains proteins and few carbohydrates. The 500g packages will be sold at stores that specialize in supplements and natural foods, pharmacies and gyms.

Savory snacks are also part of the list of novelties. The Amindu’s line gained the new lemon pepper (150g) and honey mustard (150g) flavors in its mix. The traditional unsalted peanuts are also gaining a new 200g version. Santa Helena incorporated elements to show situations in which people eat and interact with peanuts into the new packaging for the Amindu's line. They show situations such as peanuts in a serving bowl, a beer coaster (which is often present when peanuts are being eaten) and phrases that interact with the consumer, inviting them to a variety of situations, such as happy hour.

Santa Helena is also introducing a line that is refined and sophisticated, created for more demanding consumers: NUTCLASS, a reference in the premium snack category. The components of the line are Cashew Nuts, Brazil Nuts, Almonds and a Nut Mix (which includes all of the above mixed with peanuts and raisins). Much like traditional peanut-based foods, this line provides a variety of benefits to improve consumers' quality of life. This line is available in 90g packages, with the exception of the mix, which is available in 140g packages.

In addition to these launches, Paçoquita and Diet Paçoquita are available in new displays. Paçoquita rolls will be sold in packages with 10 units, and Diet Paçoquita will be available in packages with 4 units. Crokatto peanut brittle, one of the sales leaders in the winter, has also been visually revamped and produced in two new versions. The products are now available in packages with either 15 or 50 units.

Santa Helena

After 72 years in the market, Santa Helena has acquired a vast array of knowledge and information on the peanut chain and its benefits. It also has its own laboratory with processes that are completely focused on ensuring high quality raw materials. Due to its dedication and investments, Santa Helena was one of the first companies in the peanut industry to obtain the Abicab (Brazilian Association of the Chocolate, Cocoa, Peanut, Candy and Derivatives Industries) Pro-Peanut seal, which attests to the good origins and quality of all the products manufactured by the company.
